The active and passive safety components provide greater safety in driving. Meeting all the demands of the market in terms of prevention, all our coaches already have seat belts.

Summary of the regulation (CE) 561/2006 on driving times and rest of drivers

Driving times

Daily driving

The maximum daily driving time can not exceed 9 hours, except twice a week which can reach 10 hours. After a driving period of four and a half hours, the driver shall take an uninterrupted break of at least 45 minutes, unless he takes a rest period which may be replaced by a pause of at least 15 minutes followed by a break of minus 30 minutes, both interspersed in the driving period of 4 and a half hours.

Weekly driving

The weekly driving time shall not exceed 56 hours (the week shall mean the period of time between 00.00 on Monday and 24.00 on Sunday).

Rest times

Daily rest
In the 24 hours following the end of their previous daily or weekly rest period, drivers must take a new daily rest period.This daily rest period may be normal or reduced • Normal daily rest period: any rest period At least 11 hours.Alternatively, the normal daily rest period may be taken in two periods, the first of which is at least three uninterrupted hours and the second of at least 9 uninterrupted hours. • Reduced daily rest period: any period rest period of at least 9 hours, but less than 11 hours. Drivers may not take more than three daily rest periods reduced between two weekly rest periods. In the case of driving in a vehicle, drivers must have taken a new daily rest period of at least 9 hours in the space of 30 hours from the end of your daily or weekly rest period r.The normal daily rest period of a driver accompanying a vehicle transported by ferry or train may be interrupted twice as long to carry out other activities not exceeding a total of one hour. During the normal daily rest period, the driver must have access to a bed or bunk.
Weekly rest

A weekly rest period will have to start before six consecutive 24-hour days have ended since the end of the previous weekly rest period. This weekly rest period may be normal or reduced

• Normal weekly rest period: any rest period of at least 45 hours.
• Reduced weekly rest period: any rest period of less than 45 hours that can be reduced to a minimum of 24 consecutive hours. In the course of two consecutive weeks the driver will have to take at least:
• two normal weekly rest periods, or  a normal weekly rest period and a reduced weekly rest period of at least 24 hours; however, the reduction shall be compensated with an equivalent rest taken at one time before the end of the third week following the week in question. The breaks taken as compensation for a reduced weekly rest period shall be taken together with another rest period of at least nine hours. When the driver chooses to do so, daily rest periods and reduced weekly rest periods taken outside the company’s operating center may be carried out in the vehicle provided that the vehicle is adequately equipped for the rest of each driver and is parked.
